SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We provide differentiated and high-quality educational, care, and treatment services. The operations involve a range of professions, including teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and more. SiS Youth Home Nereby accommodates both school-age and non-school-age boys and girls with psychosocial issues, as well as those involved in crime and substance abuse.
Job Description
SiS Youth Home Nereby is now seeking teachers qualified to teach Swedish and Physical Education for grades 6–9.
Here, there are great opportunities to tailor teaching based on the needs of the students. Our students often require support both socially and academically. Applicants should have experience with students in need of assistance and the ability to build positive relationships.
The position is a full-time temporary role in Swedish and Physical Education from January 26, 2023, to June 30, 2023. We work with students from grades 6 to 9 in groups of a maximum of 9 students.
Teaching is largely conducted with two educators together in the classroom. Together with your colleagues, you will create a safe environment for our students and assist them in their future development.
Our two educational units are located a few miles apart, and you will need access to a car as there may be needs at both locations.
Qualifications
• A valid teaching certification in Swedish/Physical Education is required.
• Excellent proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• Good computer skills and experience with documentation are required.
• Strong ability to motivate, encourage, and set clear boundaries is required.
• You are engaged, flexible, and skilled at building good relationships.
• A valid driver's license (category B) is desirable.
It is an advantage if you:
• Have experience with the target group.
• Find it easy to collaborate with other professional groups, such as treatment assistants and psychologists.
