Lillhagaskolan is a seven-parallel lower secondary school with over 500 students and a competent and engaged staff of approximately 60 people. In addition to pedagogical staff, the school also has a counselor, school nurse, psychologist, special education teacher, career counselor, and social pedagogues who work together preventively and promotionally with a focus on safety and learning. Many of us have worked at the school for many years and are accustomed to supporting each other, as well as taking personal responsibility and working flexibly. We have very good goal achievement and are constantly striving to become even better. Lillhagaskolan's goal is for students to have the opportunity to develop and reach as far as possible based on their own conditions through guidance, stimulation, accessible teaching, and learning environment. Swedish Teacher with Additional Subject, Grades 7-9 Job Responsibilities You will teach Swedish to students in grades 7-9, with a focus on differentiated instruction and creating an accessible learning environment. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating student learning, as well as mentorship. You create good relationships, both with students and guardians, built on trust and respect. You are aware of your own impact on student learning. Based on student results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on teaching quality, reflect, and evaluate to develop instruction. You provide forward-looking feedback to students with the aim of development and support students according to their individual needs. You collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself, your teaching, and the school's pedagogical work. Additional Information • We require a criminal record check before employment • Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider Finnish language skills a merit Qualifications You have a teaching degree with a teaching license in Swedish and another subject. You have experience with grading and assessment. You have a clear classroom leadership style and are a positive role model for our students. You are flexible and have good collaborative abilities, easily creating good relationships and cooperating with students, guardians, and colleagues. Student conditions and needs guide the efforts. This means you need to have a good ability to adapt instruction individually and in groups for the students you are responsible for.
