Vittraskolorna is one of Sweden's leading independent school companies, with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8,000 children and students and have around 1,000 employees. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest educational company in the Nordic region, since 2008.
Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are shaped, equipped with the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We achieve this through our unique educational approach, which is based on three components: conscious learning, a courageous culture, and clear structure.
At Vittra Jakobsberg, we know that the keys to helping your child achieve their goals are trust, clarity, and courage. Therefore, we work within a relationship-building culture where seniors, juniors, minors, and preschoolers attend the same school and maintain close contact with educators. This is why we create a solid structure for our children and students, with a clear lesson structure and the Vittrabok, which teaches children to plan and take responsibility early on. When children and students get to know themselves as individuals, they can better understand society and dare to influence it.
Vittra Jakobsberg is centrally located in western Jakobsberg, just 200 meters from Jakobsbergs station.
Vittra is an idea- and value-driven organization. This means that all employees work towards the same educational goals—conscious learning where we can make a difference for our children and students.

**Teacher in Swedish as a Second Language and Social Studies at Vittra Jakobsberg - Grades 7-9**
**Your Mission**
We offer a fixed-term employment at 80% with teaching in the subjects of Swedish as a second language and Social Studies. We understand that it can be challenging to find candidates with qualifications and/or experience in both subjects; therefore, there is the possibility to split the position between two candidates, with approximately 40% in SVA and approximately 40% in SO. Having qualifications and/or experience in both subjects is certainly an advantage.
You will teach grades 7-9 in both subjects, and the position also includes mentorship for grade 7. You will be part of the middle school team and participate in team meetings and collegial pedagogical meetings.
**Your Profile**
Primarily, we are looking for a licensed teacher qualified in Swedish as a second language and Social Studies. Qualification in Civics and/or Religious Studies is an additional merit. You should have experience teaching at the middle school level.
As a teacher at Vittra, you contribute to shaping conscious children and students by providing them with the right tools and knowledge to create a more sustainable society. To do this, you need to possess the right personal qualities:
You thrive in an environment characterized by courage and conscious learning.
You are genuinely unpretentious. With us, the team comes before the individual, and the focus of all our decisions is based on the best interests of the students. You have the ability to turn experiences into insights and do not let personal matters interfere with the work at school. You are a role model for the students and are always part of the solution, not the problem.
You have a situational leadership style and are aware that the school is a dynamic environment, where no day is the same. We have up to 500 children and students, who, along with 70 adults, need to collaborate daily in various contexts. This means that different types of situations arise in classrooms and hallways. You need to be comfortable with this and, above all, be able to handle it with calmness and wisdom.
You are skilled in teaching or on your way to becoming so. It does not matter if you are already an experienced teacher in the classroom or a future star. What matters is that you have drive, curiosity, and a desire to continually develop in your role. You have an interest and commitment to your teaching that inspires and motivates students to want to learn.
We are committed to retaining the right people with the right skills in our organization. If we see opportunities to retain and develop talented employees, even if they currently hold a fixed-term position, it is certainly our ambition.
