About this role
ABOUT US
With a 150-year tradition, the Catholic School of Notre Dame shapes 350 students, from preschool to grade 9, into well-rounded individuals in body and soul. The school is centrally located in beautiful Ărgryte, close to cultural activities and offerings in the city.
We are looking for a teacher with broad qualifications focusing on mathematics/NO/Tk. You are experienced and eager to work in a support unit with a small number of students who challenge your pedagogical skills. You can motivate and teach students who, for various reasons, have fallen behind in their studies or who need a period of targeted interventions to catch up. You understand that the best the school can offer these students is a dignified completion of primary education, and you will not rest until you help them achieve that.
You are not afraid to question your own experience based on scientific principles in order to build a collegial evidence-based practice. We expect you to continuously refine your skills based on research and available literature and to be able to account for the pedagogical choices you make in the classroom. The school utilizes the BRAVOLesson tool to constantly improve and enhance the quality of teaching. The Catholic School summarizes the teacher's professional practice with three competencies - leadership competence, subject didactic competence, and relational competence - as a synthesis of a long list of studies in the field. Please consider how your profile aligns with these three competencies and present this in your application.
You hold a Swedish teaching license and are qualified in all three NO subjects at the secondary level (qualification in Tk is an asset) and/or mathematics. You have experience engaging with students and families from diverse backgrounds and are comfortable working in a multicultural environment. You are accustomed to working in a team and contribute positive ideas and energy. You are proactive, self-driven, cooperative, creative, and view challenges as opportunities for growth as a teacher. You are familiar with and comfortable with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
We will place particular emphasis on personal suitability and interest in driving and developing the operations.
