We are currently seeking a teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in one or more social studies subjects, and preferably another subject as well. **The Role** You will be part of one of our four teams of teachers, where you will collaboratively plan and be responsible for the education and development of students. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will primarily teach our students in social studies, where you will educate and support them in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Your role will also include mentorship. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to closely follow their academic progress and personal growth. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the guardians of the students updated on their development. **Qualifications** You are a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in social studies. If you have qualifications in another subject or prior experience working as a teacher, we consider that an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school’s governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills, enabling you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good familiarity and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you maintain a professional approach and strive for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. **About the Workplace** Roslagsskolan is centrally located in beautiful Norrtälje, providing varied learning opportunities through proximity to nature, businesses, and sports facilities. Approximately 440 students in grades 7-9 are enrolled at Roslagsskolan, divided into four teams. About 60 dedicated staff members work here, nearly 45 of whom are educators who take great pride in their subjects and create an environment that best promotes learning.
