About the American High School
The American High School was founded on a strong educational idea. Our guiding principle is that "we work to help our students and staff reach their full potential." About the American High School, Stockholm - Campus Frescati Hage
In the picturesque Norra Djurgårdsstaden by Brunnsviken, we launched a high school in the autumn of 2023. The school is now in its third academic year and has approximately 450 students studying in the Natural Science, Economics, or Social Science programs. Instruction is delivered in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching staff with a strong sense of community.
About the Role
As a teacher, you will instruct our students in natural science. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons according to our educational structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with a dedicated and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are integral parts of daily life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital resources alongside traditional literature. Instruction will primarily be in Swedish, with elements of English.
The position is a temporary role at 30%, with the potential to increase to 75% in January 2026. Start date is as soon as possible.
Your Profile
We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching certification and experience in instruction, who is qualified to teach chemistry. We seek someone who leads in alignment with our motto “Frames & Hugs,” which means providing clear leadership and rules combined with a strong care for each student. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms. You possess the ability to use a wide range of digital teaching resources and have a solid digital competence.
