Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work together with your colleagues based on the school's governing documents and the needs of the students. You will conduct modern and creative teaching, finding strategies to reach each student and enhance their development both academically and socially. In collaboration with other school staff, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning and working environment for both students and staff, and you will actively participate in the school's development work. A key part of your role will be to oversee the musical aspects of the school's events and ceremonies.
Your Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach music. You have a strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and are knowledgeable in using computers and similar technical tools in your daily work. Previous experience in music teaching at the primary school level is a plus.
You are a responsive, responsible, and solution-oriented individual. You continuously strive to develop your teaching through reflection, analysis, and collaboration with colleagues. You have a strong commitment to the development and learning of your students and possess a good ability to engage with people in a professional manner.
We Offer
Herrgärdsskolan is a school with approximately 330 students from preschool to grade 5. Here, you will join 50 competent and dedicated colleagues who focus on the students. Additional Information
The position is a temporary contract at 80% that extends from January 7, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
Before you can be employed, you will need to present an approved extract from the police criminal record.
During the interview, you will need to verify your citizenship. This can be done with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland, you must provide proof of a valid work permit or be exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
