Geneskolan is Örnsköldsvik Municipality's largest middle school, with approximately 400 students distributed across 16 classes.

The school has subject colleagues to collaborate with. For those who are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers, which means you will have a mentor during your first year. Your mentor will be an experienced teacher with the same or closely related subject qualifications who can guide and support you.
Job Responsibilities
You will teach music to students in grades 7-9 and manage the documentation and contacts that this entails. The role involves planning, implementing, and following up on lessons. Communication and collaboration with guardians are an important part of the work.
You will be part of a work team and will also serve as a mentor in a class alongside a colleague.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and subject qualifications in music. Additional subject qualifications are an advantage.
You take pride in having deep subject knowledge in your teaching subjects. As a person, you are attentive, responsible, and engaged. You are a secure adult and a clear leader who is expected to guide and direct in the classroom. Even outside the classroom, you maintain clear boundaries of adulthood and see it as natural to take on that responsibility.
The position is a permanent employment, with a workload of 80-100%. Start date is February 2, 2026, or as agreed.
