The award-winning Language Center Mölndal offers you the opportunity to work concretely towards achieving a common approach, where all staff in preschool and school take responsibility for newly arrived students. The Language Center works to provide all preschool children, primary school, and upper secondary school students in Mölndal the opportunity to develop their multilingual competence.
The unit is responsible for modern languages in four primary schools, study guidance, and mother tongue instruction in primary and secondary schools, leads the development of Swedish as a second language, the introduction of newly arrived students, support for various school forms in their work with multilingual students, and leads the work on developing multilingualism in preschool within the school administration.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a mother tongue teacher in the city of Mölndal, you will provide mother tongue instruction at the primary and/or secondary school level. You will also offer study guidance at several of Mölndal's schools. The role also includes conducting assessments of newly arrived students' knowledge and providing support for children in preschool.
All mother tongue teachers are part of a development group and learning groups to ensure quality and development.
As a modern language teacher in the city of Mölndal, you will have the opportunity to teach at the primary school level. You will be employed at the Language Center Mölndal and be part of a team working with modern languages across several schools. You will teach Spanish in grade 6. No mentorship is included in the position. You will collaborate with operational developers, other language teachers, and be part of the faculty with teachers of mother tongue and modern languages.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a certified teacher in Spanish
- Has excellent knowledge of current governing documents, such as the curriculum and syllabus for mother tongue/modern languages or another relevant academic degree for the position
- Has experience teaching mother tongue/modern languages
- Has good digital competence
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish and the relevant language, both spoken and written
- Has good knowledge of additional languages is an asset
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, and a driver's license is an advantage. Experience teaching in Swedish primary schools is an asset.
