Who are we?
Djäkneparksskolan is a six-parallel school for grades 7-9 located in the heart of Norrköping. We have a pleasant, safe, and accommodating atmosphere where students and staff thrive together. Currently, we have approximately 520 students and 55 employees.
The school consists of three grade-specific teams that work closely together around the students in their daily activities.
We are a profile school with specializations in dance, crafts, visual arts, ball sports, and cooking. We employ a language- and knowledge-developing approach and focus on creating a safe environment where the student is at the center.
The school is characterized by a positive and engaged staff group, and our student health team consists of professional personnel with high competence, which is essential for the school's overall goal fulfillment. The teachers at our school are highly qualified in their subjects.
We are now looking for a teacher in mathematics and science who wants to contribute to our staff team!
Your responsibilities
You will create conditions for learning and development towards the goals of the organization. You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching.
You will adapt the instruction to meet the diverse needs of individual students. You will continuously assess goal fulfillment and communicate this with the students.
You will be part of a team and a subject group with other teachers who teach the same subjects as you.
The teaching role includes mentorship, which involves participating in student welfare work, contacting parents, and conducting student-led development conversations.
Who are you?
We are looking for a certified teacher in mathematics and science. Your subject knowledge is strong, and we prefer that you have prior experience in educational work.
You possess good collaboration skills, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, and create a safe and conducive learning environment in the classroom.
You meet each student based on their conditions and needs and see it as a given to work with inclusion and individualization. You have well-founded and clear values.
Furthermore, you easily establish and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You reflect on and develop your work both individually and collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all students succeed.
You adapt your communication based on whom you are interacting with to ensure that everyone understands. Additionally, you are structured, creative, and flexible, actively and persistently working towards achieving goals, even when challenges arise.
You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have strong skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
