The Education Administration operates for 3,500 children and students in preschool and pedagogical care, primary school, secondary school, adult education, as well as student health services. The education administration also includes the municipality's food department. Högelid School is a K-9 school located in the eastern part of Mariestad. Upon entering the secondary school entrance, you are greeted by the café, which is a popular meeting place for both students and staff. We have four classes in each grade, with two mentors in each class. Here, we actively work to ensure that our youth feel secure, both in themselves and in functioning within various groups/constellations. The student health team works closely with students and staff, and for us, preventive and promoting work is important. We are now looking for a teacher in mathematics and English for grades 7-9 who will work with smaller student groups. Are you a confident and inspiring person? Then this position may be of interest to you! RESPONSIBILITIES You will work as a teacher in grades 7-9 in a small group. By small group, we mean a setting where students with special support needs attend and where students also require a smaller context. You may also teach an additional subject besides mathematics and English, depending on your qualifications. Your role will also include mentorship for some of the students in the small group. With engagement and enthusiasm, you will create a safe learning environment that stimulates students to enjoy learning and take responsibility for their own education. Staying updated on developments in the educational field is a natural part of your role as a teacher. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed primary school teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in mathematics and English, as well as in another subject. You recognize the value of teamwork and want to help develop the school's operations together with others. You communicate easily and can express yourself in writing. Digital tools are used in the educational activities for documentation and development, so your experience with digital tools is important. In your professional role, you are a clear leader, possess personal maturity, and maintain a professional demeanor towards students, guardians, and colleagues.
