About the School
LBS Stockholm Norra is a school characterized by curiosity, creativity, and a desire for development. We are a creative high school where students study the Aesthetic and Technology programs. Here, there is a friendly atmosphere and a safe context.
We are a small school with under 300 students, which means we work closely together and closely with our students. The relational aspect is at the center of everything we do. The school is within walking distance from Odenplan and S:t Eriksplan, located in beautiful, colorful turn-of-the-century premises with great soul and character.
We are now seeking a positive and knowledgeable mathematics teacher who, in close collaboration with colleagues and school management, wants to contribute to clarity, quality, and further development of mathematics instruction.
We Offer
At LBS, we work with systematic development where pedagogical discussions, collegial learning, and common forums are the hub of our professional development.
With us, you will get:
A non-prestigious and warm collegium with strong commitment to our students
A student group that is fantastic to work with, with great interest, kindness, and community
A strong and close collegium with short distances to decisions
A clear and supportive management structure
Time and space for collaboration and joint development in subject teams and mentorship
Professional development through AcadeMedia Academy and internal training
Wellness contributions and collectively bargained benefits
Your Assignment
Initially, you will primarily work supportively and teach students in smaller groups, and collaborate with another mathematics teacher in classes where the need for extra structure, guidance, and adaptations is greatest. The purpose is to strengthen students' study confidence, create good routines, and build safe relationships.
Once structures are established, you will gradually take responsibility for your own teaching groups and classes, with continued close collaboration in the subject team and with student health services.
Your assignment therefore involves:
Supporting students who need extra reinforcement in mathematics in small groups or individually
Assisting in regular teaching groups to strengthen study calm, structure, and learning
Developing student-centered and varied working methods in mathematics
Being involved in the school's collegial learning and pedagogical development
Who Are You
To thrive with us, you need to have genuine commitment to our shared students and a desire to contribute to a warm, safe, and learning-oriented school environment.
We are looking for someone who:
Is a certified mathematics teacher (certification is a requirement)
Has several years of teaching experience in high school or later years of primary school
Works relationally and present in interactions with students
Has good methods for adaptations, support, and varied instruction
Can make mathematics comprehensible, meaningful, and possible for different student groups
Meritorious:
Experience working with students in need of support
Further education in special education or experience with special education teaching
Other Information and Application
