Nordanstig Municipality consists of several school locations with approximately 900 students, sharing a common junior high school in Bergsjö.
Bergsjö School is a preschool through 9th-grade school with around 500 students. Adapted Compulsory School grades 1-10 also operates within the same facilities.
Together, we work towards higher goal achievement and a more equitable school. The Swedish National Agency for Education, Umeå University, SPSM, Mid Sweden University, and RUC-X are some of the partners we collaborate with to achieve this.
We strive for equality and consistent conditions between schools, as all students converge at the municipality's junior high school. We focus on smooth transitions and creating a reflective environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop and achieve good results.

About the Position
We are looking for a licensed teacher in mathematics or science who wants to work with students in grades 7-9. The position can be combined with other subjects.
If you choose to join us, you will be part of a teaching team with several teachers instructing the same classes. You will also be part of a subject team where you plan together and exchange ideas and thoughts.
Daily work encompasses all tasks included in a teacher's assignment. Individually and together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and ensure high-quality instruction that creates context and challenges students at the appropriate level. You will contribute to collegial learning together with the school's staff.

As a person, you have strong leadership skills, understand different individuals' capacities to acquire knowledge, and can adapt your teaching accordingly. You engage students in planning and can make learning processes visible and develop them further. You systematically reflect on your work, both individually and with colleagues, and are committed to creating a safe learning environment with study peace, trust, and respect.
