Östra Stenhagenskolan is a municipal primary school. Here we teach students from preschool to grade 6. We have three parallel classes from grades 1 to 5 and a more flexible organization for preschool and grade 6 students. In total, there are approximately 470 students and 60 employees at the school. The school has an after-school center for each grade, from preschool to grade 3. The school premises also include an adapted primary school with separate management.

Our school is characterized by accessible education where the school takes a holistic approach to student development and connects learning to the entire learning environment. Teachers and student health work together for the benefit of all students, focusing on both academic and social goals. Our emphasis on clear learning objectives, high expectations, and good relationships leads to increased goal achievement for all students.
We are a KiVa School, and our KiVa work permeates our entire operation. Our students should feel psychologically and physically safe, knowing that their educators care about them and immediately address bullying and harassment.
Students are physically active during breaks and movement pauses throughout the day, which promotes knowledge acquisition. The school has high competence in the learning of newly arrived and multilingual students, providing them with the conditions to learn and develop in all subjects regardless of linguistic background.
Student Health's goal is to create a positive learning situation for the child/student. We have a complete student health team with a school nurse, counselor, psychologist, and special education teacher. The student health work is primarily preventive, with staff regularly meeting with pedagogical personnel and participating in continuously developing the learning environment for students.
Job Responsibilities
As a teacher in this position, you will teach home and consumer studies and another subject based on your qualifications. In home and consumer studies, you will teach grade 6 at our school and nearby schools.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your expertise, knowledge, and commitment to help the school reach its goals. You will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop pedagogical work according to the curriculum and other guiding documents. We strive for collegial learning where you work closely with colleagues to develop the operation. Together, you will work to ensure all students thrive and develop according to their individual conditions.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with a teaching license or pending license, qualified to teach home and consumer studies in grade 6 and another subject in grades 4-6. We expect you to have good knowledge of school governing documents and the primary school curriculum. The work requires good oral and written Swedish skills. Experience with language-developing work methods is considered meritorious.
As a person, you are pedagogical and understand people's different abilities to acquire knowledge. When working with others, you take initiative and start activities to achieve results. Additionally, you are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
