Welcome to Maglehill School and Tjörnarps School - the school district that prioritizes the student. Our district consists of a newly built F-6 school in the growing neighborhood of Maglehill in Höör and a smaller rural school in Tjörnarp. We also have a close collaboration with Enebackeskolan, which is also an F-6 school located in central Höör. Both schools in Höör are within a 10-15 minute walking distance from the station. Our schools are staffed by dedicated professionals who are passionate about their roles.
We are now seeking a licensed teacher in Home Economics. If you want to take responsibility for students' learning and be involved in the school's development work - then this is the position for you!

JOB DESCRIPTION
The position primarily involves teaching Home Economics to students in grade 5 at both Maglehill School and Enebackeskolan. Students at both schools receive their Home Economics instruction in the newly built classroom at Maglehill School.
The role also includes 20% teaching in theoretical subjects for grade 5 in the middle school.
As a teacher at our schools, you are responsible for creating a positive and creative learning environment so that students feel curiosity and a desire to learn. You will work closely with students, colleagues, and school management. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing instruction based on a formative approach. You will also be part of a team where collegial exchange occurs to develop teaching quality. You contribute to students' increased goal achievement by bringing innovative, pedagogical ideas to the faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach Home Economics for grades 1-6 as well as some theoretical subjects for grades 4-6.
The position requires that you:
- Are a good leader both in and out of the classroom
- Plan with a focus on students' desire to learn
- Have a good understanding of how classroom instruction affects different students' learning
- Have the ability to create good relationships and thereby establish a safe learning environment for our students
- Are well-versed in governing documents and have experience analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge
- Can work independently, but are also good at collaborating.
