About this role

Teacher for Famn – a school for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) Location: Simrishamn Extent: Full-time / part-time by agreement Start date: By agreement Famn is an independent school for students in grades 6–9 with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). Here, students have the opportunity to grow in a safe, clear, and individualized learning environment – with a high staff-to-student ratio and broad expertise. The team collaborates in supporting the students and has specialized knowledge in NPF, student health, education, and treatment. We coordinate and tailor interventions to create a functional school experience and positive identity development for each student. As a teacher at Famn, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in close collaboration with colleagues. You will work with clear structures, varied teaching methods, and relational leadership. You will: • Teach one or more subjects based on your qualifications. • Adapt teaching and assessment to meet each student's needs and strengths. • Collaborate with our treatment team and student health services to create a cohesive school day for the student. • Contribute to a calm, predictable, and supportive learning environment. • Make a difference for a child. We are looking for someone who: • Is a certified teacher with qualifications for grades 6–9 (or earlier years of primary school). • Has an understanding of or experience with NPF and adapted teaching. • Thrives in a smaller setting where collaboration and flexibility are essential. • Possesses structure, patience, and a warm approach. • Wants to be involved in developing methods that promote learning, participation, and independence. It is advantageous if you: • Have worked in adapted schooling or resource schools or other educational support services. • Are an experienced primary school teacher with a special interest in NPF. • Have knowledge of low-arousal approaches or similar methods.
