Vasaskolan is a primary school for grades F-3, centrally located just a three-minute walk from the transport hub. It serves around 330 students in grades F-3, after-school care, and has approximately 50 staff members. We place the student at the center and strive to ensure that they feel safe and happy while developing their abilities to the fullest. JOB DESCRIPTION The role involves engaging with students aged 6 to 10 before, after, and during the school day, with a focus on their social development and the various contexts they are in. Based on the goals set for the operations, after-school teachers, in collaboration with other positions, are to create a good educational environment that promotes children's learning and development, inspiring them to new discoveries and interests. As an after-school teacher, you are expected to lead and develop the operations together with your colleagues at the school. In your department, you will work on planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work according to the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You view the entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the after-school care and school operations work together to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You will base your work on the student group you encounter and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the operations, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professionals. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying have a teaching certification with qualifications in after-school care. In your role as an after-school teacher, you have a good understanding of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. As an after-school teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and involve them in shaping the instruction. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You easily set goals, organize resources, follow up, and conclude activities. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning, as well as document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community relevant to your professional role. You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and in collaboration with others. You also have a good initiative. You can adapt to changing circumstances and encourage and support change initiatives. You easily adjust your behavior in relation to the needs of others. We are a secure and sustainable employer.
