Rostaskolan Seeks After-School Care Teacher About the Position As a licensed after-school care teacher at Rostaskolan, you will be a central part of our pedagogical activities. You will have the opportunity to plan and develop our after-school programs with a focus on enjoyable learning and a safe environment. We actively work to strengthen the competence of our educators and develop learning environments for all our students. Here, you will join an engaged work group where we believe we can learn from each other and develop together. We have regular planning time, both individually and collectively in work teams. Additionally, we have development groups where we meet to coordinate and develop our activities together. Example Tasks: • Plan, implement, and develop after-school activities together with other staff, following existing guidelines • Teach in after-school care, during breaks, and in classrooms • Adapt instruction based on group and individual student needs and prerequisites • Support students' social development • Work and document in existing operational systems About the Workplace Rostaskolan is a preschool-6th grade school located in the western part of Örebro in the Rosta residential area. Currently, we have approximately 500 students and 75 staff, distributed across 20 classes, including two preschool classes. The school has four after-school care departments. Qualifications To be suitable as an after-school care teacher, you should be confident and stable. You collaborate well with others while taking responsibility for your tasks and can independently structure your work. You are flexible in your approach. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and different human prerequisites, adapting your communication accordingly. You communicate clearly and ensure your message is understood. You have an excellent ability to create relationships and build trust with students, guardians, and colleagues. Requirements: • Teaching certification with qualification to teach in after-school care, or a qualifying exam leading to teaching certification Merits: • Experience working with preschool-6th grade • Experience working with students with neuropsychiatric functional variations • Experience working with visually impaired students • Training in guiding interaction (ICDP) Employment Details: • Position Type: Permanent • Work Percentage: 100% • Start Date: January 1, 2026, or by agreement • Number of Positions: 1 • Work Hours: Varying, during after-school care hours (06:00-18:00) Application Deadline: November 26 We place great importance on personal suitability.
