About this role

**Description** Kungsladugårdsskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 620 students. Our organization also includes a special needs school with about 35 students. The school is located in Majorna, close to many beautiful environments, including Slottsskogen and Svaleboskogen. It is also easy to access the city center and Gothenburg's southern archipelago by tram and bus. Kungsladugårdsskolan's fundamental belief is that all children are everyone's children. We are now seeking a leisure teacher for our special needs school. **Responsibilities** As a leisure teacher, you will be part of a team with classroom teachers, leisure teachers, and student assistants. You will be responsible for the educational content of the leisure program based on current governing documents. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching and activities in the leisure program. Together with the classroom teacher and colleagues, you will also participate in the educational work during the school day, including conducting lesson segments, organizing break activities, and supporting students individually and in groups. You will work on building relationships with the students, being attentive to their needs, and supporting them with schoolwork, activities, transitions, as well as hygiene and bathroom visits. You will collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and other individuals involved with the student. You will manage daily routines and be involved in developing methods and routines to help students progress as far as possible. **Qualifications** We are looking for a licensed leisure teacher. You have previous experience working with students in special needs schools, schools, or leisure programs, and you have worked with children and students with special needs. To succeed in this role, you need to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. We prefer candidates who have worked with children and students with intellectual disabilities at various developmental levels, as well as with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). Knowledge of sign language as an alternative and supplementary communication (TAKK), as well as experience with clear pedagogical methods and visual support, is also highly valuable. The students require support in social interaction, communication, and care. Therefore, you need to be a secure, calm, and stable person.
