Description
At Johannebergsskolan Montessori F-5, approximately 210 students are enrolled, supported by 25 educators.
The classes are age-mixed, with four classes for grades F-2 and four classes for grades 3-5. Our school is within walking distance of the city library, the central museum, and nearby green areas that we enjoy visiting. This school year, we are focusing on students' achievement in core subjects, supporting their social development, and maintaining good communication with parents.
Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a leisure time teacher for our students in grades F-12. As a leisure time teacher, you will share responsibility for teaching a class alongside the class teacher during the school day, and for teaching in the leisure time center with colleagues in the afternoon. During the school day, you will be responsible for the practical and aesthetic subjects and assist students who need extra support with intensive training. It is important to us that we provide equitable education and that collaboration between leisure time centers is effective and valued.
Montessori pedagogy is also important to us. It serves as the foundation for our shared values connected to the curriculum and other governing documents for the school. Respect for the child and the long-term work of developing our students into secure adults is guiding. We are a learning organization that strives for a holistic perspective in all aspects of our operations, and collaborative development work is significant. Together with colleagues, you will plan and implement teaching in the leisure time center in a way that stimulates students' development and learning while offering them a meaningful leisure time.
Qualifications
Formal Competencies
We are looking for a licensed and qualified leisure time teacher. You have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and plan your teaching based on the curriculum. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience with Montessori pedagogy.
