Together, we create a sustainable tomorrow and an attractive municipality to live, work, and thrive in – today and in the future. This means working with an approach that challenges us to think innovatively, learn, and develop together. Do you want to be part of a meaningful context where you can truly make a difference? Welcome to Växjö Municipality!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome to Ingelstad School. Our school is staffed by committed teachers, educators, coordinators, and leadership focused on student well-being, safety, and knowledge development. Currently, approximately 260 students attend from preschool through 6th grade. The school offers a large playground with opportunities for various activities and excellent outdoor pedagogical possibilities with proximity to both forest and water.
The school has two after-school programs: Myran (preschool and 1st grade) and Dojan (grades 2-6). Our programs are characterized by joyful learning and security. Uniquely, the Dojan after-school program has dedicated spaces, including recreation and play areas.
As an After-School Program Teacher at Ingelstad School, you will join an after-school team of four licensed teachers. You will be responsible for creating instruction that enables students to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, aesthetically, and physically. You will plan, implement, and evaluate pedagogical work both independently and collaboratively with your team.
Weekly team meetings will involve planning, evaluation, and follow-up of instruction, as well as brainstorming ideas for program development. Beyond collective planning, you'll have individual preparation time aligned with your specific assignment.
You'll work closely with other teachers and staff to create a holistic approach to student learning and development. An important aspect of your role will also involve communicating with parents about student well-being and progress.
