Gamla Uppsala School is seeking an engaged and driven leisure-time teacher who wants to take overall responsibility for leisure-time activities. Here, you will have the opportunity to lead a competent team, develop pedagogical work, and be a key person in our systematic quality improvement work – all in close collaboration with the deputy principal and colleagues. The school is currently temporarily relocated to modules while awaiting the construction of a new school. Teaching continues as usual in the temporary modules. We offer a workplace with strong community, high ambitions, and great opportunities. Job Responsibilities As a leisure-time teacher with us, you will work with students in grades F-5. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing leisure-time activities based on guiding documents and students' needs. The role includes an extended responsibility of leading the leisure-time team. You will be responsible for scheduling, holiday schedules, pedagogical content, and systematic quality work in close collaboration with the deputy principal and colleagues. You also have administrative responsibilities related to leisure-time activities. During the school day, you have a supportive role at individual and group levels, contributing to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students. Our activities are characterized by flexibility, collaboration, and a strong focus on student participation, safety, and knowledge development. You will become part of an engaged and flexible team where cooperation and collective development are central. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a Swedish teaching qualification with authorization for leisure-time activities and professional experience. We prefer candidates with experience leading a team and being responsible for pedagogical development in leisure-time activities. As a person, you are flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances. You are a good leader with the ability to coordinate groups and create engagement and participation. You collaborate and interact with others in a responsive and smooth manner. Last but not least, you are pedagogical and understand people's different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge.
