About this role
We are now looking for you who want to join us in making a difference for those we serve! Växjö Municipality is the largest employer in Kronoberg, working year-round, every day, for our residents, businesses, and visitors. Together, we create a sustainable tomorrow and an attractive municipality to live, work, and thrive in – today and in the future. This means a job where we challenge ourselves to think innovatively, learn, and develop together. Do you want to be part of a larger context where you can truly make a difference? Welcome to us at Växjö Municipality!
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Furutå School is a K-6 school with an associated after-school program. We have approximately 300 students and 45 staff members. The school is located in the southern part of the city, in the Teleborg district, just a stone's throw away from both Växjö Lake and Södra Bergundasjön. Close to the school, we have a forest that is utilized by both the school and the after-school program.
The after-school program is currently divided into four departments, and we work with mixed-age groups: K-1, 2-3, and 4-6. In this role, you will collaborate with both the teachers in the after-school program and the teachers in K-2. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching based on Lgr22. You always focus on the students' learning within a pedagogical, social, and physically accessible learning environment, where you have the ability to create activities based on the students' needs and interests.
For us at Furutå, building trusting relationships and maintaining the high level of comfort and safety that exists at the school is important. As a teacher in the after-school program, you play a vital role in the students' entire school day. During school hours, you will teach a subject or work with recreational activities.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone with qualifications as a teacher for after-school programs. You have a good understanding of the governing documents for schools and after-school programs.
You are a clear leader with good foresight and structure, and you communicate well with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are driven to develop the program to achieve high quality for the students. You have the ability to create a positive working environment in the group through engagement, curiosity, and safety, and you see collaboration as a natural part of achieving success and development.
You adapt to changing circumstances and see solutions to problems that may arise.
Additionally, you have an interest in working with digital tools in teaching. We would also like you to be qualified to teach music.
We welcome your application!
