Your Work Tasks As an after-school teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As an after-school teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with guardians and colleagues around the student. As part of this, the after-school program and school activities work together to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your instruction. You promote collegiate learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of different professionals' experiences and knowledge. In the morning, you'll have the opportunity to vary your work with other important pedagogical assignments. This could mean being a resource in the classroom, leading recess activities, or conducting after-school pedagogical instruction during school hours. About Ekängen Schools: Ekängen Schools consist of Bärstad School (Preschool-Grade 1) and Ekäng School (Grades 2-6). We have a total of five after-school departments with age-homogeneous groups. We actively work with school development and have common goals for the organization. Our engaged staff works to create safety and working peace for all students. Who We're Looking For We primarily seek someone with a teaching certification with qualification in after-school programs. Secondarily, we seek someone with a degree or completed education in after-school teaching. Alternatively, you are near the end of your after-school teaching education. It is meritorious if you are qualified to teach additional subjects, based on the organization's needs. It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in curriculum-governed after-school programs, either through practice or as an employee. In your role as an after-school teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative abilities in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is to help students develop their language and communication skills according to the curriculum. You are responsible for ensuring each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As an after-school teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to students and allow them to be participative in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other societal contacts relevant to your professional role.
