Are you the teacher who is passionate about the important role of after-school activities and wants to take a step into a team leadership function? Your Responsibilities As an after-school teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. Your position also includes a 10% team leadership assignment. As an after-school teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues around the student. As part of this, the after-school and school activities work together to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your instruction. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To promote student learning and the development of yourself and the organization, you leverage the experiences and knowledge of different professionals. In the morning, you'll have the opportunity to vary your work with other important pedagogical assignments. This might involve being a resource in the classroom, leading recess activities, or conducting after-school pedagogical teaching during school hours. As a team leader, you'll be part of the school's management group, and your assignment includes: • Leading and developing teams based on the organization's established goals and vision. • Responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting team meetings. • Be part of the principal's management group and serve as the principal's management resource. • Follow up and evaluate organizational results. • Coordinate team work around students. • Work to promote participation and community within the team. • Work to develop employees and teams. About Ekängens Schools: Ekängens Schools consist of Bärstadskolan (grades F-1) and Ekängsskolan (grades 2-6). We have a total of five after-school departments with age-homogeneous groups. We actively work on school development and have common goals for the organization. Our committed staff works to create security and a good working environment for all students. Who We're Looking For We primarily seek someone with a teaching qualification with eligibility in after-school activities. Secondarily, we seek someone with a degree or completed education as an after-school teacher. Alternatively, you are near the end of your after-school teacher education. It is meritorious if you have qualifications to teach additional subjects, based on organizational needs. It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in curriculum-controlled after-school activities, either through practice or as an employee. In your role as an after-school teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative abilities in spoken and written Swedish. This is to help students develop language and communication skills according to the curriculum (Lgr22). You are responsible for ensuring each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As an after-school teacher, you are a good role model. You can adapt your teaching to students and allow them to be involved in shaping
