The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school care, secondary school, adult education, and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here to create a safe and developing school and childcare environment.
Västerport School is a K-9 school with about 620 students and 75 employees. At Västerport School, students encounter modern, meaningful, and accessible teaching where the vision "Every day we create meaning" permeates the organization. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a teacher in after-school care at Västerport School, you will work in one of our after-school programs with students aged 6-12 years. In this role, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work based on the after-school program's governing documents and the individual student's needs. Together with your colleagues, you will work creatively to inspire a joyful learning experience that enhances both the student's knowledge and personal development. The role also includes close collaboration with teachers and students during the school day.
In the current position (planning for the 2025/2026 school year), teaching physical education for grades 1-3 and grade 6 is also included. You will plan and conduct lessons in an engaging and goal-oriented manner, as well as follow up, assess, and document students' knowledge development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed teacher with a specialization in after-school care. Qualification to teach a school subject for grades F-6 is particularly meritorious, preferably in physical education. You are a person who brings enthusiasm, energy, and passion to your work. Previous experience working in after-school care is an advantage.
You take responsibility and have a good ability to build strong relationships with both students and colleagues, as well as with guardians. You are an engaged teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You have positive expectations for the students and the ability to communicate these in a motivating spirit. You consider the students' perspectives when, together with other staff and management, you organize, drive, and develop the school's work.
You have a structured approach to your work, planning, organizing, and prioritizing your tasks effectively.
