About this role
Fjällbo School is now seeking a Recreation Center Teacher with a qualification to teach Physical Education and Health.
The position is a full-time (100%) temporary contract for the spring semester of 2026. Approximately 70% of the position will be based in the recreation center. These 70% will primarily involve physical education instruction, with the remaining time spent in the recreation center.
About the School
Fjällbo School is located in a calm and idyllic villa area near nature by the Fjällbo Mountains in Utby. Here, you will have every opportunity to plan outdoor teaching and can also enjoy a pleasant walk in nature during your break. Fjällbo School has approximately 400 students in grades F-5 and employs around 50 staff members. The school has an open climate, and together with our ambitious students and engaged parents, we collaborate with a clear goal-oriented approach to create safety and well-being for the students.
Job Responsibilities
As a Recreation Center Teacher, you will, together with your team, be responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities. The assignment also includes teaching Physical Education and Health. You play a crucial role in student learning. You will design instruction that challenges, stimulates, and enthuses students' desire to learn and creates opportunities for influence. The team consists of recreation center teachers, primary school teachers, and possibly student resources. The team's role is to shape learning based on each student's needs and conditions to help them reach their full potential.
Qualifications
We are seeking a qualified and licensed Recreation Center Teacher with a qualification to teach Physical Education and Health. Work experience in schools/recreation centers is meritorious.
You easily adapt your approach based on changing conditions and new information. You can quickly adjust your perspective and attitude and see opportunities in changes. You have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You express the core of an argument clearly and effectively, adapting your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.
You are energized by contributing to others' learning and creating conditions for learning to occur. You can explain problems and information to different recipients from various perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and achieve goals.
