Your Role with Us
You will be responsible for teaching in the after-school program while also combining this with teaching/work as a teacher/resource person/student assistant in the school. Your primary task is to create quality-assured teaching in the after-school program and in the school that is engaging and inspiring, in accordance with the curriculum goals.
You will also work based on democratic values and consider what the students want in the after-school activities. To ensure that the program follows a coherent plan regarding planning and the needs of different students, collaboration with primary school teachers and preschool teachers is essential. Together with your colleagues, you will also be responsible for and lead outdoor activities and break-time activities.
Your relationships with the students are characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, a trusting approach, and positive expectations. You are willing to set demands on the students and are clear about the expectations that are placed upon them. Documentation of the activities in the after-school program is also included. Furthermore, you are active in collegial learning and systematically reflect on your work both individually and together with others, connected to the goals of the program and influences from the outside world.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with the qualification to teach in after-school programs in primary school as well as a subject for grades 1-3. You are well acquainted with and uphold the ethical principles for teachers and have the ability to promote democratic values, assuming that all children/students are equally valuable. Additionally, you manage leadership in the after-school program/classroom and work with goal management, planning, and documentation. You have the ability to inspire, create interest, and meet children at their level. The ability to choose pedagogical tools based on individual needs is required in this role. You should be able to integrate digital technology into daily activities and as a tool in your own work. Your strong communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to collaborate are essential for building trusting relationships with contacts both within and outside the school.
