Within the Children and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees collectively serve around 14,000 children and students across more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own conditions. Each student should be able to leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good prerequisites to meet adult life and the future.
St. Olof School is a smaller school where everyone knows each other and where many adults surround our students. At St. Olof School, we have students from preschool class to grade 4, as well as an after-school program. Students in grades 5-9 continue to Åkersvik School.
Our work is characterized by a positive and solution-oriented approach where we see individuals based on their interests, opportunities, and conditions. We enjoy collaborating with other actors and associations to give our students opportunities to experience, test, and develop.

During the school year, we are a focus school and therefore collaborate with the Cultural School. Our after-school program has also initiated a collaboration with Mid Sweden University's technology lab, and we are in the initial stages of a collaboration with the Salvation Army in the area. Of course, there is also room for your own suggestions and ideas!
We actively work to create a good relationship between school and home, based on clear and warm communication with a focus on helping each student succeed.
The after-school program offers work clothing in accordance with Sundsvall Municipality's guidelines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of St. Olof School's after-school team. Together with your colleagues, you will plan and be responsible for developing the school's after-school program and break-time activities. During the school day, you will work as an after-school resource in school activities together with class teachers. After school hours, you will be responsible, along with other after-school staff, for the after-school program and all parts of the assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a qualified after-school teacher with a teaching license for after-school programs or trained as an after-school pedagogue, well-versed in the curriculum goals for after-school programs. You should be confident in your leadership role, clear, and enjoy being creative while planning activities with our students based on their interests, opportunities, and conditions.
You should have a positive view of students based on the belief that they can, dare, and want to learn. As a person, you are solution-focused, structured, and proactive. You are a good role model with a strong student focus and easily collaborate and create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
You have good patience and stress tolerance. You understand and act with the insight that we create each other's work environment.
We have a large and wonderful schoolyard with close proximity to forest and nature. We enjoy being outdoors, both during breaks and in the after-school program, so it's important that you enjoy outdoor activities.
The work involves varied work hours according to a schedule, with the after-school program open between 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM every weekday.
