Do you want to work in a dedicated team where you can make a real difference for students with diverse backgrounds? Silverdansen School is now seeking an after-school program teacher with a heart for inclusive pedagogy and a holistic perspective on the student's day.
Who are we?
Silverdansen School is a preschool-3rd grade school, with an adapted primary school for grades 1-6 and an accompanying after-school program. The school belongs to Norrköping's hearing track. There are 230 students at the school.
We work together to create a safe and inclusive environment where all students can reach their full potential. In our adapted primary school, we have extensive experience meeting the needs of students with intellectual disabilities and other types of disabilities/variations.
We are proud of our dedicated and professional team that works to make a difference every day. We offer an inspiring work environment where professionalism and community go hand in hand.
Your Responsibilities
As an after-school program teacher, you will have overall responsibility for planning and implementing the after-school program activities at our adapted primary school. You will collaborate closely with other colleagues and lead interesting and developmental activities for students.
Your assignment extends throughout the students' entire school day. With a focus on strengthening students' personal and social development, you will become an important part of a creative and committed team that puts students first.
Who are you?
You have a teaching certification with qualification to teach in after-school programs. Beyond that, we prefer candidates with experience or training in working with students with intellectual disabilities. Previous experience in adapted primary school is meritorious and requires special competence.
You have a good ability to plan and organize activities. You are well-versed in the school's guiding documents and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
You are a pedagogical leader who engages, creates safety, and builds trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We need a communicative, responsible person.
