About this role
Do you want to be involved from the beginning in building and shaping our new middle school that will gradually grow? Then apply for the position of French teacher at Sickla School! We would like you to combine French with another subject.
The position is a permanent employment at 20 percent during the spring term of 2026. The employment rate will gradually increase to approximately 30 percent in the autumn term of 2026 and 40 percent in the autumn term of 2027. In the long term, depending on subject qualifications, there may be opportunities for an even higher employment rate.
Your mission
In the role of teacher, you will initially teach students in grades 6-7 in French, but as the school grows, you will also teach students in grades 6-9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subject according to the curriculum. You adapt the teaching based on the students' needs, interests, and conditions. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development.
You are responsible for creating trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. To create good conditions for the students, you collaborate closely with other teachers, school management, the student health team, and, if necessary, the special education team. In the future, the role may include mentorship.
You will be part of the team for grades 4-7. You will collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.
Your experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- A teaching license with subject qualifications for grades 6-9 in French
- Good digital competence with experience in working with digital pedagogical tools
- A strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Experience working as a teacher
- Experience teaching students in grades 6-9 in French
- Subject qualifications for grades 6-9 in subjects other than French, preferably in Natural Science, Social Science, Swedish, and/or Swedish as a Second Language
- Experience in mentorship
- Experience working with students in need of additional adaptations and special support.

Sickla School is currently an F-7 school (soon to be F-9) that has been renovated to meet future needs. We have now moved into both newly built and renovated facilities.
