Korsavadsskolan is a lower secondary school and currently has approximately 400 students, distributed across 17 classes. Organizationally, the school is divided into three year-group homogeneous home areas, with a work team and 5-6 classes in each. A social worker and a special education teacher are linked to each home area.
Korsavadsskolan is a school with learning in focus. Our ambition is for each student to learn as much as possible based on their individual conditions and to provide all our students with opportunities to continue their studies after compulsory school. We believe in high expectations and realistic challenges, but also in secure and well-being adolescents. A secure and well-being youth has the best opportunities to learn new things. We who work at Korsavadsskolan - teachers, special education teachers, social workers, management, and other staff - are keen to maintain a safe learning environment for our students. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking an engaged and development-interested teacher in French for grades 7-9. An additional subject is meritorious.
As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and analysis of instruction in the groups you teach. You collaborate well with colleagues and management and see collegial learning as an opportunity for individual and collective development. You are also open in your teaching and are happy to invite colleagues to participate. You have a good ability to adapt your teaching based on students' conditions and are willing to collaborate with student health services as needed.
In addition to teaching French, you will be a mentor for a class. This is a significant part of your job responsibilities. As a mentor, you follow up on your mentored students' knowledge development and collaborate closely with students and their guardians.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with the qualification to teach French in grades 7-9.
You have an excellent ability to create student relationships that promote student development towards goals, and relationship building permeates your work, both inside and outside the classroom. You also have the ability to create a trusting and close contact with guardians, as we value cooperation with homes. The ability to create good relationships with students and guardians is a qualification that weighs heavily and can be decisive in employment.
You have the ability to create student engagement through your clear leadership. You have good didactic skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study calm and a favorable learning environment.
The teaching assignment also includes taking collective responsibility for students, regardless of grade level. Our ambition is to be an adult-dense school, and as part of our staff, you take your own initiatives to be among students, inside and outside the classroom. You actively work to create good student relationships.
