About Us
At the Crafts Academy, tradition meets the future. We offer education in numerous craft professions, ranging from furniture makers and blacksmiths to tile stove makers, tailors, and ceramicists.
Our students learn their trade through apprenticeship and simultaneously acquire the theoretical knowledge needed to succeed as independent entrepreneurs.
About the Position
We are now looking for a committed business instructor for our vocational higher education programs. Teaching will primarily take place on-site at Medborgarplatsen 25 on Friday mornings. Additionally, the role includes some digital lessons, planning, assessment, and follow-up work.
Courses include:
• Basic Legal Principles for Small Business Owners
• Marketing and Business Planning
• Accounting and Financial Management for Small Businesses
The position is approximately 20% and structured with an annual work-time arrangement, meaning more work during semesters and more time off during summers and between courses. This role is ideal for those who want to combine teaching with their own business or other work.
We Are Seeking Candidates Who:
• Have experience running their own business, preferably in small-scale operations
• Have education in economics, entrepreneurship, or equivalent knowledge through practical experience
• Possess pedagogical skills and enjoy inspiring adult learners
• Can plan and conduct instruction both in-person and digitally
• Are structured, engaged, and clear in communication
Advantageous Qualifications:
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or advising on entrepreneurship
• Understanding of our vocational school's target group – aspiring craftspeople who need practical and accessible tools to start and run small businesses
• Knowledge of adapting theory to practical learning
