Who Are We?
Sandbyhovsskolan is a 7-9 school that was inaugurated in the fall of 2019. This autumn, we will have approximately 260 students divided into 10 classes in grades 7-9. The school is spread across three buildings: our main building, the Esthet House with rooms for art, crafts, home and consumer studies, technology, and music, and the Sandbyhovs Hall, which is a sports hall with a youth center.
At Sandbyhovsskolan, around 35 employees work with high competence and qualifications. We collaborate closely and strive every day to put our three guiding principles – knowledge, safety, and commitment – into practice so that they permeate our entire operations.
We have a good collaboration with the adjacent F-6 school, Sandbyängsskolan, with which we share the Esthet House, including our fine newly built art and textile craft rooms.
Your Responsibilities
You will teach art and textile crafts. The position includes mentorship in one of the grades 7-9.
Here, you will become part of a team that works together to create safe and good learning environments that provide all students with the best conditions for development and learning.
You will work closely with colleagues in the team, the school's student health team, and safety team.
Who Are You?
You have a teaching license with qualification to teach art and textile crafts in grades 7-9.
You have teaching experience and are confident in your leadership. You have the ability to engage and challenge students and the knowledge to meet all students' differences.
You have a positive approach, are creative, initiative-taking, and simultaneously structured. You are solution-focused and have a flexible working style.
You create good relationships and approach collaboration with others in a responsive and humble manner. In close collaboration with colleagues who want to develop, we leverage each other's competencies so that our students can succeed in their learning.
You believe in every student's ability to succeed and have goals and clear planning for instruction, which you design and implement so that all students are given the opportunity to develop and learn.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
