Position within the Education Administration The position is located within the Education Administration, one of eight administrative departments in Linköping Municipality. Welcome to join us! Your Responsibilities As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You will work with the student group you encounter and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You will collaborate with colleagues, students, guardians, school management, and external actors during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To promote student learning and your own and the organization's development, you will utilize the experiences and knowledge of different professionals. This position involves teaching primarily mathematics, Swedish, Swedish as a second language, and English, but also other subjects. You will teach junior high school students who need a specially adapted learning environment at different periods/extents. You will also teach students who are not at age-appropriate levels and require special support. Mentorship for individual students is included. As a mentor, you have overall responsibility for your assigned students, their development, and contact with guardians. The position also involves working with students who need support regarding school attendance. Your Workplace Ånestadsskolan is a preschool-9th grade school located in a scenic area just south of Linköping's city center, near a bus stop to the city. The school is divided into a preschool-6th grade section and a 7-9th grade section. The position is located in the junior high school. Students come from all parts of Linköping. We offer specialized education in social studies and a handball sports profile. You will work alongside highly committed colleagues focused on helping students succeed. Candidate Profile You have a teaching certification for grades 4-9 with qualifications in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, English, and/or mathematics. Previous experience in similar pedagogical work, either through practice or paid work, is preferred. It is meritorious if, in addition to certification in the above subjects, you also have certification or experience teaching social studies or natural science subjects. As a teacher, you have strong knowledge of the school's mission and are familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have excellent communicative abilities in spoken and written Swedish to organize and implement work that supports students' language and communication development, as per the curriculum. As a teacher, you are a good role model. You can adapt your teaching to students and involve them in designing instruction. You create good conditions for student development and learning in a quality-conscious manner. You are relationship-oriented and collaborate well with various professional contacts. The role requires you to be highly proactive, solution-focused, and flexible in meeting students' academic and social support needs.
