Kungsgårdsskolan is a primary school (grades F–6) with an associated after-school program, serving approximately 475 students and employing 70 staff members. The school is beautifully located in the center of Säter, and the school area also includes Prästgärdet, where the preschool classes are situated. As a teacher/student assistant with us, you will play an important role in both the school and the after-school program. You will support students in their learning, during breaks, and in after-school activities. The work involves contributing to safety, social development, and participation, as well as collaborating with teachers and after-school educators to create a holistic approach for each student. You will assist with adaptations in the learning environment and be part of an engaged team working to ensure that all students succeed. We welcome your application today! TASKS We are looking for a stable and secure teacher/student assistant who is passionate about students' development and learning. Your primary task is to support and be present for our students. You will support, motivate, and contribute to a safe and stimulating learning environment. Additionally, you will actively participate in the classroom and provide educational insights. You will create a close relationship with the student to ensure security in their schooling while maintaining professional distance. You will have a low-affect response and be clear in your communication. You will collaborate with teachers, student health services, and other relevant staff with the student's best interests in focus. As a person, you are flexible and have good collaborative skills, as well as the ability to interpret signals and stay one step ahead. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We have school and after-school activities with opening hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the work involves varied working hours based on the student(s) schedules. As a teacher/student assistant, you play an important role in the students' school and after-school environment. You have a high situational assessment ability and collaborate with other colleagues to support students in their learning and development. We are looking for someone with experience working with children in need of special support and who has experience with pedagogical methods. You have a solution-focused and professional approach, clear leadership, and a strong desire to develop each student's abilities. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements for the position include experience working with children and students in need of special support, such as those with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF), language disorders, social difficulties, or concentration challenges. You work with low-affect responses or other pedagogical approaches in challenging situations, and you have previous experience working in primary education. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement. It is advantageous if you have training as a student assistant or teacher assistant, or alternatively, education relevant to the role. The ability to collaborate, listen, and show empathy and respect is highly valued. A non-prestigious attitude and appreciation of others' contributions are important. You should be able to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Collaboration is seen as a given. You are flexible and easily adapt to new circumstances and the needs of others.
