Cemetery Administration is part of the Swedish Church in Örebro and is responsible for managing twelve cemeteries and a crematorium.

As a landscape gardener with us, you will work on different types of projects from smaller assignments like mounting signs and park equipment to establishing new burial areas. Your tasks will include, among many other things, renovating memorial gardens and stairs, adjusting burial arrangements, and maintaining our facilities at the cemeteries. You need to have good knowledge of groundwork, paving, and stone work.
We are looking for someone who can plan and drive projects both independently and together with colleagues. You are self-motivated and can work alone or with others depending on the task. You are unpretentious, flexible, solution-oriented, and strive for excellent results. You enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems that may arise along the way.
You have experience in landscaping work or some form of education relevant to the position. You can set out heights and complete a project from blueprint to finished installation. You feel comfortable performing basic carpentry and property maintenance work.
Since work within cemetery administration can be flexible based on competence, knowledge in tree pruning, tree felling, plant recognition, green area maintenance, wood construction, welding, electrical work, plumbing, or operating excavation machinery can be valuable. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You need to be in good physical condition to handle the job tasks. We offer both workplace wellness and wellness subsidies.
You must have a B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.
Your primary workplace will be Northern Cemetery, but you will often work at our other cemeteries.
You will have on-call weekend duty during winter, approximately once per month, as we are responsible for snow removal within Örebro parish. You may also be called out during snow preparedness.
