Quality Technician

The Quality Technician ensures that products and processes comply with company quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and audits to maintain high-quality manufacturing processes. The Quality Technician also supports cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement in product quality and compliance. Key responsibilities • Verify and maintain laboratory equipment according to laboratory scope and control procedures. • Assist in conducting audits related to products and lab procedures. • Support in evaluating and dispositioning products before shipment. • Implement and maintain laboratory systems to ensure compliance with product quality standards. • Assist in the validation and verification of product processes. • Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to confirm product specifications and regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with operations to support production quality when necessary. • Complete all tasks as directed by the manager and fulfill all assigned responsibilities. Requirements Education and certifications • A high school diploma in a relevant field or other equivalent education is mandatory. • All relevant certificates that are needed to do the job. Experience • Experience in quality assurance within a steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environment is preferable. • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), quality control methodologies, and industry regulations. Competences and skills • Strong safety awareness. • Knowledge of statistical process control charts and graphs. • Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision. • Very good communication skills in English; Swedish language skills are preferable. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Other abilities • Ability to work in a demanding industrial environment (e.g., high noise levels, heat, and dust). • Capable of safely lifting and maneuvering up to 25 kg regularly, following proper ergonomic techniques and safety protocols. • Comfortable performing repetitive physical activities, including stretching, reaching, and walking.
