The Quality Technician ensures that products and processes comply with company quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and audits to maintain high-quality manufacturing processes. The Quality Technician also supports cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement in product quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities
• Verify and maintain laboratory equipment according to laboratory scope and control procedures.
• Assist in conducting audits related to products and lab procedures.
• Support in evaluating and dispositioning products before shipment.
• Implement and maintain laboratory systems to ensure compliance with product quality standards.
• Assist in the validation and verification of product processes.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to confirm product specifications and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with operations to support production quality when necessary.
• Complete all tasks as directed by the manager and fulfill all assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
Education and certifications
• A high school diploma in a relevant field or other equivalent education is mandatory.
• All relevant certificates that are needed to do the job.
Experience
• Experience in quality assurance within a steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environment is preferable.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), quality control methodologies, and industry regulations.
Competences and skills
• Strong safety awareness.
• Knowledge of statistical process control charts and graphs.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Very good communication skills in English; Swedish language skills are preferable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
