Quality Coordinator to Gudhemsgården

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården accommodates non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården has recently undergone an organizational change from LVM care to LVU care and is now in an exciting phase of development. Currently, the institution consists of three departments but will expand to five departments with a total of 30 places over the coming year. The role of Quality Coordinator is new within SiS, and its purpose is to strengthen the home’s ability to conduct proactive, legally secure, and systematic quality work. Your mission will be to contribute to the long-term development of quality in the operations. Specifically, this means: • Coordinating and overseeing the home’s systematic quality work to ensure early signals of deficiencies are captured and translated into improvement efforts. • Supporting the home’s managers in handling deviations such as Lex Sarah, IVO, and JO cases, and contributing to the application of legally secure processes in investigative work. • Assisting managers in implementing new governing documents, methods, and working practices. The role involves working independently but in close collaboration with the home’s management team. You will also be part of a network of quality coordinators across all of the authority’s homes, allowing for dialogue and exchange of experiences. Qualifications To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have a strong commitment to quality issues with a focus on the rights of children, youth, and clients. You are analytical, structured, and meticulous, with a good ability to drive and maintain processes. You possess integrity and can balance between a supportive and a scrutinizing role. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to work independently while being communicative and pedagogical, enabling you to support managers and employees in the development of the home’s quality work. You should also have: • An academic degree in social work, behavioral sciences, or equivalent academic education combined with work experience that we assess as equivalent. • Experience working with systematic quality work in operations regulated by SOSFS 2011:9. • Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. It is an advantage if you also have: • Knowledge of administrative law, Lex Sarah, and regulations related to supervision. • Good knowledge of and experience in data collection, documentation, and analysis.
