Quality Engineer with Focus on Measurement Technology

Description We are seeking a Quality Engineer with a focus on metrology for an exciting consulting assignment with an international industrial client in Västerås. In this role, you will have a central function in quality work, responsible for ensuring high quality of incoming materials and components through advanced measurement techniques, calibration, and technical support to both production and development departments. The assignment is suited for someone with a strong technical interest, who thrives in an analytical and meticulous role, and is driven to improve processes and contribute to high standards in quality assurance. Work Tasks • Perform quality control of materials and components using measurement equipment (CMM). • Program and operate measuring machines and analyze measurement results. • Calibrate measuring tools and instruments. • Verify and document measurement results to ensure compliance with technical standards and specifications. • Provide technical support to production, quality, research & development, and project teams during measurement and verification activities. • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and development to improve overall quality of purchased materials. • Contribute to continuous development of measurement techniques and quality processes. • Work in accordance with the company's guidelines and values regarding safety, quality, and integrity. Qualifications - Required: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical background. • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in metrology or quality control. • Very good technical understanding of mechanical components, motors, and gears. • Experience with CMM software such as Quindos, PC-DMIS, or Calypso. • Ability to interpret technical drawings; experience with CAD/SolidWorks is meritorious. • Analytical, self-driven, and solution-oriented with a structured approach. • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Meritorious: • Experience from an international industrial environment. • Experience with improvement work in quality or production.
