About this role
We are seeking a junior Quality Engineer/Technician, either a recent graduate or with a few years of relevant industrial experience.
The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to current security protection regulations. These assignments are security-classified and may, where applicable, require certain citizenship.
Job Description
In this role, you will be part of an experienced team of approximately 20 quality engineers supporting final assembly and hangar operations.
Your primary task is to ensure that our products and aircraft meet established quality requirements.
This largely involves performing visual inspections at various stages of the Gripen production flow and documenting and investigating quality deviations.
You will also actively contribute to challenging and improving our work methods within the quality team to streamline deviation management and inspections both within Saab and at external suppliers.
Together with production and cross-functional departments, you will work to minimize the number of deviations through careful follow-up and feedback.
The role also includes compiling and presenting results from completed inspections and handling deviations efficiently.
You will closely collaborate with production managers and support operators in control methods to ensure that production has the right conditions. Part of your role will also be to act as a mentor for production operators and support them in securing quality at an early stage.
To succeed in the role, a non-prestigious attitude and good collaboration skills are required, as close cooperation and presence on the production floor are crucial to achieving our goals. You will use English extensively, both in customer contacts and in our work processes, and therefore need to be comfortable using English in both speech and writing. Travel will be involved in the role, as inspections are also performed at suppliers and customers.
You will be part of a group with diverse experiences and skills contributing to a more disruption-free production in final assembly and hangar. The role offers broad development potential, where you have the opportunity to grow both professionally and within the company.
