About this role
We know that meaningful learning begins with students' personal interests. By combining interest with knowledge, we create educational programs that both inspire and engage our students, preparing them for the future—whether in the workforce or further studies. We collaborate closely with the industry and actively work to provide each student with the best conditions to develop and succeed, both during their school years and in the future.
We are now seeking a Quality Manager for Learning in Sweden (LiS) – a key role in the Learning Group's strategic direction and our goal to operate with very high quality, making us the obvious choice for students, guardians, and employees.
As the Quality Manager, you will be part of the management team and report to the CEO. Together, we work based on our core values – safety, development, teamwork, and success – and with a systems-theoretical approach where the whole is the focus. You will lead and develop quality work closely with principals and employees, aiming to strengthen student learning and advance LiS towards our common goals. The role is both strategic and operational, involving collaboration with the management team, central support functions, and other school companies. Future focus areas include quality and operational development related to our Learning Model, digital development, and upcoming government reforms.
You are, like us, courageous and want to translate a pedagogical foundation into practical operations to enhance student learning, ultimately influencing the way we view schools as a natural part of driving school and community development together with us. We primarily operate vocational programs and have a close collaboration with the industry, where students' workplace-based learning (APL) is an important component.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Managing and further developing systematic quality work and ensuring the company's key performance indicators.
• Serving as a presenter on quality issues to the board.
• Ensuring processes related to statutory obligations, including APL with risk assessment, safety and working environment, complaint management, harassment, supervision, and permits.
• Responsible for medical management responsibility (MLA) as well as study and career guidance.
• Managing state grants and ensuring the application process.
• Ensuring quality and efficiency in credit plans, scheduling, and staffing.
• Leading quality-related development processes, system management, and data-driven school development in dialogue with support functions and school companies.
• Together with the management team, driving central development work and projects related to strategic areas and the operational plan.
Qualifications (mandatory requirements):
• Several years of experience in management work at the principal level and in development and change work within schools.
• Higher education with a pedagogical focus.
• Documented experience in quality and development work as well as leading managers and employees.
• Experience in pedagogical change work within school and organizational development.
• Completed principal training.
• Solid knowledge of governing documents, systematic quality work, and school law.
• Good understanding of research and a holistic perspective on school development.
Meritorious:
Experience with vocational programs at the upper secondary level, leading managers, completed school leadership training, higher pedagogical education, and strategic management work at the principal level.
We are looking for someone who shares our core values and is driven to develop schools, organizations, and society. You are collaborative, flexible, and have a strong commitment to educational issues. As a leader, you are clear, pedagogical, and courageous, with the ability to create safe and effective teams. You communicate well, are structured and quality-conscious – and contribute with energy, curiosity, and a holistic mindset.
The position is a permanent full-time role based in the Norrköping or Stockholm area, or as agreed. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Business travel to our operations is part of the role.
