Qualified Accounting Economist - Interim, Immediate Start

We are now looking for someone who is confident in accounting and is available to start an exciting new interim assignment with one of our wonderful clients, a municipal company in central Gothenburg. **About the Position** As an Accounting Economist, you will be part of a finance team and work closely with other accounting economists, the head of accounting, and controllers. You will have a broad role, working on everything from invoicing to year-end closing, ongoing accounting, VAT and employer declarations, annual reports, group reporting, and liquidity planning. In this role, you will also be responsible for fixed asset registers and depreciation. You will work with financial systems such as Agresso Unit 4, Hypergene, and Cognos. This is a 100% consulting assignment via SJR that needs to be filled immediately (by early December at the latest) and will last until May 2026, with a possibility of extension. Our client is located in pleasant offices in central Gothenburg. They offer flexible working hours, and after an introduction, there is the possibility to work from home one or more days a week if interested. You will join a welcoming and friendly workplace focused on collaboration. **Suitable Background** For this assignment, we are looking for someone with a university degree or equivalent (required) who is knowledgeable in accounting, fixed asset registers, year-end closing, and reporting. You thrive in a broad role and have an unpretentious approach. We prefer candidates with 5–10 years of experience in qualified accounting work, and previous experience in a municipal company is highly advantageous.
