Your Mission
The Permit and Follow-up Unit is located at the Chief Legal Counsel's office. The Chief Legal Counsel reports directly to the Director General and has overall responsibility for ensuring that the agency's operations are conducted in accordance with law and other regulations. The Chief Legal Counsel is responsible for the agency's applications for signal intelligence permissions in defense intelligence and development activities and is supported in this by the Permit and Follow-up Unit.
Your mission as an investigator primarily consists of follow-up of defense intelligence and development activities from a regulatory perspective. The investigations you conduct may be highly complex in nature, but simpler investigations and follow-ups are also included, as determined by the Chief Legal Counsel.
You will also participate in the unit's work of preparing signal intelligence permit applications, where you will be responsible for coordinating the preparation of such applications and presenting them at weekly briefings. You are also responsible for presenting the agency's applications in the Defense Intelligence Court.
The work tasks require you to stay well-informed about signal intelligence activities and relevant regulations concerning applications and follow-up.
Business travel may occur.
Your Qualifications
We are seeking someone who has:
- Academic degree from a university/college, for example with a technical orientation or equivalent competence acquired through relevant work experience
- Understanding of system infrastructure
- Experience in pedagogically presenting technical investigations
- Good Swedish language skills and strong written communication abilities
- Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office package
We consider the following as meritorious:
- Experience working in intelligence operations
- Knowledge of or experience with technical systems related to intelligence processes
- Experience analyzing data and developing documentation for follow-up tool programming
- Experience working in a government agency
