Fishing Course Instructor

Do You Want to Share Your Knowledge and Passion for Fishing? Medborgarskolan is now seeking dedicated course leaders in fishing who want to help more people discover the joy of fishing and the community of outdoor life. Your Assignment As a course leader with us, you will plan and lead courses where participants have the opportunity to develop their skills, curiosity, and feel for fishing. Courses are adapted to the target group, season, and conditions, and may include: • Introduction to Fishing for Beginners Basic equipment, knots, casting techniques, and safety. • Spinning and Reel Techniques Overview of different baits, techniques, and fishing strategies. • Fly Fishing & Fly Tying (if you have the knowledge) Casting practice, fly selection, water reading, and insect knowledge. • Species Knowledge & Nature Understanding Get to know our fish species, their behaviors, and sustainable fishing methods. • Fish Conservation and Outdoor Access Rights How we fish with respect for nature and water environments. Courses may consist of both theory sessions in a classroom and practical outdoor moments, where participants can develop their skills directly by the water. You will receive support from Medborgarskolan in all aspects of planning, equipment, venues, and participant contact. Who Are You? • Have experience with fishing – professionally or as a knowledgeable and committed hobbyist. • Enjoy meeting people and contributing to their development. • Have a pedagogical approach, patience, and ability to explain clearly and inspiringly. • Want to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where each participant feels seen. • If you also have experience leading groups, conducting association activities, or organizing outdoor activities – that's a plus. But most importantly, you are confident in your fishing expertise and want to share it. We Offer A rewarding assignment where you can influence and shape course content. A strengthening network of leaders and activity developers within Medborgarskolan. Administrative and pedagogical support so you can focus on what you do best: teaching and inspiring. Compensation by agreement. Courses are typically held on evenings or weekends. The assignment covers the entire Södermanland region. Medborgarskolan is a study association with a wide range of courses, extensive music activities, and collaboration with associations and groups in many different subjects. Participants are of all ages and from diverse backgrounds and interests.
