Then you might be the right person for us! At the Management Unit of the Swedish Military Academy Karlberg, we develop and conduct training in management and administration. We provide both classroom and online learning. Our target groups are primarily managers and specialists within the Swedish Armed Forces. We offer you a unique workplace in a castle environment together with excellent conditions for on-site training. You will join a unit consisting of creative and experienced colleagues who truly enjoy working together. We are now seeking a course manager with gender competence who will implement and develop training primarily in the gender equality area, including the Gender Mainstreaming training for senior managers. The training aims to strengthen gender mainstreaming and implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in the agency, through improved strategic-level governance and management. Primary Work Tasks • Plan, implement, and administer training in the gender equality area, based on the Swedish Armed Forces' needs and requirements for our operations in peace, crisis, and war • Continuously follow up and develop the gender equality training offering • Train Swedish Armed Forces managers and employees in gender equality, gender mainstreaming, and gender in military operations • Contribute with colleagues to a cohesive and clear training offering for the agency's employees and managers • Monitor the external environment and drive development and change work, primarily in gender equality, but also in the unit's overall area of operations • Collaborate with clients and internal and external stakeholders REQUIREMENTS Qualifications • Academic education in a relevant field for the position, or experience that the Swedish Armed Forces deems equivalent • Excellent knowledge in gender and equality areas • Several years of experience in operational gender equality work • Experience in training on gender equality and gender mainstreaming • Good ability to express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English Personal Characteristics You have good pedagogical skills and a genuine interest in learning and education. To succeed in the role of course manager, you need to be solution-oriented, engaged, and structured. You also have good collaboration skills and a desire to move joint work forward, while being able to work independently and drive processes towards set goals and deadlines. You will have many contact points, across all levels of the Swedish Armed Forces and with other agencies and actors, which requires good communication skills and a willingness to build good relationships. You also need to have a good ability to handle administrative tasks as this is an important part of the various phases of the course process. As a person, you are unpretentious, see solutions to problems, and work in a service-oriented manner. In pressured situations, you maintain your calm while being brave and willing to take a stand. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability. MERITORIOUS • Experience in developing and implementing digital learning • Experience working with gender equality analyses • Experience working with anti-discrimination laws and active measures • Experience in development work directed at managers and management groups in the public sector • Experience and/or knowledge of gender equality in military operations, UN Security Council Resolutions on Women, Peace and Security, and NATO • Experience working within the Swedish Armed Forces Additional Information Employment Type: Permanent, full-time.
