Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a course teaching assistant. The main task is administration of teaching in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the 7th semester of the medical program. Administrative work includes scheduling, planning student reception, examinations, and planning new course instances. You will participate in teaching and provide support to both students and our teachers. You will work with multiple digital platforms, including management of digital exams (e.g., Inspera, Studium, Timeedit).
Qualification Requirements
The candidate must be an active student in the Medical Program or another program within the Medical-Pharmaceutical Faculty at Uppsala University.
The teaching assistant position involves many social contacts, so it is important to have a highly developed ability to collaborate and communicate sensitively. The beginning and end of the semester are work-intensive, with many tasks to be handled simultaneously in a short time, which means that great importance is placed on personal qualities such as accuracy, structure, and flexibility.
Good Swedish language skills are required, as well as the ability to work in multiple data systems.
Desirable/Meritorious:
- Teaching experience, especially in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and psychiatry
- Approved psychiatry course in the medical program
- Experience and proficiency in administrative systems Studium, Inspera, and Timeedit
- Experience as a teaching assistant
About the Position
The teaching assistant position is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5. Only those admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education may be employed as a teaching assistant (HF Chapter 5 §10).
The position is time-limited according to HF Chapter 5 § 12. The employment is time-limited from 2026-01-19 to 2026-06-07. Scope is 50%. Start date January 19, 2026. Location: Uppsala.
