Kurera Omsorg is now seeking an engaged and reliable assistant for a 9-year-old boy in Bjärred.
The boy has autism and requires structure, clear routines, and continuous supervision in his daily life. He does not communicate verbally and has difficulty expressing himself through body language, making it important that you are attentive and willing to learn his individual communication style. Challenging behaviors may occur, and we are seeking someone who is stable, empathetic, and confident in such situations.
About the Role
As a personal assistant, you will have a central role in the boy's life. Your mission is to create a sense of safety, provide support in daily life, and help him participate in activities like other children. The work will include:
• Supporting daily routines and activities
• Creating a safe and predictable environment
• Preventing and managing outbursts
• Providing a present and responsive support in interactions and communication
The position is primarily for afternoon shifts. Initially, hourly employment will be offered to allow you time to get to know the boy and his needs.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is calm, stable, and able to adapt to individual needs
• Has experience or knowledge of autism and challenging behaviors (meritorious)
• Has good Swedish language skills in both speaking and writing
• Enjoys working independently but also closely with the family
• Is responsible and confident in handling various situations
About the Workplace
The workplace is in the boy's home in Bjärred. Parents are present and offer support and guidance in daily work. You will receive a comprehensive introduction before starting.
Before employment, a criminal record check and proof of identity will be required.
