Job Title: Assistant for a 9-Year-Old Boy
Employment Type: Hourly position with fixed shifts in the schedule.
Contract Type: Permanent as long as the assistance assignment lasts.
We are currently seeking an assistant for a 9-year-old boy living just outside Lund/Hjärup who can work afternoons/evenings from 3 PM to 10 PM, as well as weekends. The boy has a muscle weakness that causes difficulties with balance and body control, and he is approved for assistance around the clock. He is an active, social, and cheerful boy who lives a life full of activities, just like his peers.
What does the position entail? As his assistant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating his daily life and providing him with the same opportunities as other children. You will be his support and ensure that he can participate in the activities he enjoys while also ensuring his safety and well-being.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is calm, responsible, and able to act quickly when needed.
• Enjoys working independently but also in close collaboration with the boy's family.
• Has good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written forms.
• Is non-smoking, as this is a requirement.
• Has a strong ability to adapt to the boy's needs and the family's wishes.
About the workplace: The workplace is located in Hjärup, and it is easy to reach by public transport, but we prefer that you have a driver's license and access to a car. The position involves working afternoons/evenings and includes weekend work.
The parents will be present for support and guidance, and you will receive thorough training. Please note that the family has a dog in the home.
