Do you want to help develop a new approach to early identify children and youth in need of support? We are now looking for someone to work as a counselor in Kungsbacka’s school social team – a role that combines operational work in high schools with coordination within a cross-professional team.
The role of counselor with us
You will be employed within the upper secondary school operations but will play an important role in Kungsbacka's school social team – a team that receives and manages cases concerning children and youth from across the municipality. Together with colleagues from various fields, you will collaborate on supporting young people who need coordinated efforts.
The position involves both strategic and operational work. A large part of your time will be spent working closely with students, school staff, and other actors at the high school, but you may also provide support to primary schools as needed.
Your responsibilities
- Actively participate in the school social team and contribute to a holistic perspective and coordination around young people in need of support.
- Work operationally at the high school to follow up on interventions, support schools, and channel cases to the appropriate functions.
- Serve as the point of contact between the team and the schools – you will coordinate efforts and follow up on cases, but you will not have treatment responsibilities.
- Collaborate with student health services, school management, social services, police, and other relevant stakeholders.
Your profile
You enjoy working both strategically and practically. You are confident in collaborating with others and find it easy to build trust in relationships. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as required in daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who:
- is a trained social worker
- has relevant experience working with children and youth
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience working with children and youth within schools, social services, or cross-professional settings
